# Ask your data demo

> Ask sales questions and a dashboard draws the answers from what the agent’s functions return.

## What it shows

- **Functions**: two pure functions answering questions from a literal demo dataset: group, filter and total, with no database
- The agent's built-in `render_chart`, `show_table` and `show_ui` output drawn in the dashboard's main panel, in the page's own style
- Page tools that move the date range and filters (`set_date_range`, `set_dashboard_filter`) and pin a chart (`pin_insight`)
- Situational awareness sending the range, filters and the KPIs on screen with every turn
