Content Engagement

Creating and configuring the content engagement

Content engagement allows app creators to create text, image and video content which enables diverse formats of engaging content that can be used to communicate and interact with end users. The content engagement can be used inside facilitation, on the home screen, or sent to end-users via their account.

Creating your first content engagement

To create your first content engagement, navigate to “Engagement library” in the “App Information” section. Click on the Engagements tab. Click on the Add new engagement button, select from the dropdown and select Content Engagement.

On the Details tab, choose the desired header for your Content engagement. There are three types of page headers:

  1. Text header

  2. Image header

  3. Video header

Configuring a Text header

Here you are able to configure what you would like the Text header to look like.

Under Title background colour, press Select colour. Enter Hex colour code or pick a colour, then press OK. Repeat the same process for Title text colour, ensuring the two colours are contrasting to one another. You are able to view a preview on the right-hand side of the screen.

Once you’ve configured the header of your engagement, you can add a Title, Summary and Body text to it. You also have the option of attaching up to 5 documents and adding external links and ratings.

Configuring an Image header

For the Image header type, upload a JPG, PNG, or SVG image type of 16:9 ratio by selecting Upload Image and clicking on Save.

Once you’ve configured the header of your engagement, you can add a Title, Summary and Body text to it. You also have the option of attaching up to 5 documents and adding external links and ratings.

Configuring a Video header

For the Video header type, click on the dropdown menu on the video details and select the desired video source (Youtube, Vimeo or Embed code).

Depending on the video type selected you may have the option to upload a thumbnail image or use auto-fill (which brings in the URLs video information for you).

You then must add a Title, Summary and Body text to this engagement. You also then have the option to attach up to 5 documents and add external links and ratings.

Once the engagement has been completed and saved, you can view it on the Engagement library > Engagements screen. To display this on the home screen for end-users click on Publish to make it visible. To use inside a Facilitation leave the Engagement as unpublished and this will save it as a draft for when you are ready to build your Facilitation.

Under the Published locations tab a list of the locations where this engagement has been published is displayed. You can also publish from this location by clicking the Publish a copy button.

Next, click on the Select location dropdown and choose the location you want to publish the engagement, and click on the Continue Button. Please note that, if you select the Broadcast channels, you have to select the desired channel from your list of channels before clicking on the Continue button.

You can select a sender from your senders' list which is optional by clicking on the Senders tab underneath Engagements Library.

Next, select the start date which is when you want the users to receive the engagement copy by clicking on the calendar field. You can include an end date by clicking on the include an end date toggle button.
